What to Know Before You Go
What to Wear: Long-sleeved shirts and long pants to protect against thorns, sturdy shoes, a hat.
What to Bring: Water. See instructions for each event about tools. If you have them, bring clippers, loppers, and/or small saws. If you don’t, most event leaders will have some extra tools you can borrow.
Sign Up: Please use the registration form or link on the calendar to let the event leaders know you are coming. Children must be over age 11 to actively participate.

Be ready for anything including working amongst thorny branches. Note that you cannot park outside of Rabbit Branch Park without a permit. Park and meet along Gainsborough Drive. This is an opportunity to learn about non native invasive vines and how to tell them apart from our useful native species. We will be cutting non native vines that are strangling trees. You are welcome to join us just to learn to identify the plants, but learning by doing will help you remember and us protect the park. Wear long pants, long sleeves, bring garden gloves, and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. Bring your own water bottle. We recommend insect repellent because there may be mosquitoes or ticks in the areas where we will be working. If you have garden pruners or loppers, please bring them. We have a few gloves and tools to share, if needed.
